The Deputy Mayor of Santa Rita do Sapucaí was outside of city hall when a 14 year old Pedro Rodrigues Filho fatally shot the Deputy Mayor with a shotgun. This murder was a result of the Deputy Mayor firing Filho’s father for alleged theft. This would be the first of over 70 murders that Filho would commit in his criminal career, most of which were targeted at other criminals or wrong-doers.
Filhos affinity for murdering other murderers, rapists, and criminals gained him the nickname “The Brazilian Dexter” as his modus operandi was very similar to that of the Television shows protagonist. Filho was eventually arrested however his crime spree didn’t stop there…
