Sylvia Likens was a 16 year old who was sent to live with a family friend, Gertrude Baniszewski, by her father in 1965. Unfortunately for Sylvia, the Baniszewski household was a hell house. Gertrude and her children abused Likens, torturing her in horrific ways.
