Anna Elisabeth "Anneliese" Michel, a 16-year-old German student and devout Catholic, began having convulsions and seizures. In addition to these symptoms, she believed she was hearing and seeing demons in her everyday life.
Concerned, Anneliese’s parents reached out to the local priests and doctors in hopes of a cure.
