The Strange Tale of Kaspar Hauser

May 26, 1828,

In Nuremberg, Germany, a young boy was found wondering around the town square aimlessly. Aside from the unusual behavior, the boy also wore tattered clothes and carried two letters. One letter was written for a cavalry captain asking for the captain to enlist the boy in his battalion. The second letter was written (presumably) by his Mother indicating his Father had died and for someone to take him in.

This story alone is somber, but what makes it take a turn into the strange is that when asked about his past and who he was…
