The Paris Catacombs
Early 1990’s
Underneath the sprawling streets of Paris, France lies something very macabre indeed: over 200 sprawling miles of human remains.
The Paris Catacombs are the single largest grave site in the world. Beginning in 1774, the Catacombs were built out of necessity; The amount of dead bodies lining the streets of Paris were becoming overwhelming and with no place to put the bodies the only resort was to create the sprawling labyrinth of death.
In the modern day, the Catacombs have become a hot tourist attraction and place for thrill seekers to explore. Unfortunately, exploring does not always go as planned. In the early 90s a video tape was found deep within the catacombs, a film depicting a man sprinting through hall after hall of the Catacombs, until he finally drops the camcorder and vanishes into the darkness. This video leaves us with many questions: Who was this man? Why would he drop his only source of light? And most importantly…
What was he running from?
