On furlough from Monroe County Correctional Facility following the death of his Grandfather, Don Decker spent the weekend at a family friends Bob and Jeannie Kieffer. At some point over this weekend a terrifying event took place.

While in the upstairs bathroom, Decker reportedly had an encounter with an evil spirit frightening Decker and causing large scratches in his wrist. Shortly after the ordeal Decker, shaken up but relatively unharmed, sat down to eat dinner with the Kieffer’s.

As night fell upon the dimly lit streets of London, Jane Alsop hears a knocking on her door. Curious, she opens the door to reveal a man draped in a large coat who claims to be a police officer. The man convinces Alsop to follow him towards the street, this is when the man attacks.
Tossing off his coat the man reveals his horrific image: Fiery red eyes, large metal claws, and blue flame pouring from his nostrils, the creature begins to slash at Alsop, clawing at her neck. Luckily, one of Jane’s sisters was nearby and assisted her in fending off the assailant.
While the demon was certainly notable, the legend of the creature was cemented in London folklore by the way in which the would-be-murderer escaped…

The Mysterious Deaths of Don Henry and Kevin Ives

August 23, 1987

A 75 car, 6,000 ton cargo train is making its regular run to Little Rock Arkansas. The engineer operating the train, Stephen Troyer, is cruising through the Arkansas night as expected until he notices an unusual green tarp on the tracks. Troyer’s attempts to slow the train are in vein - he collides with the mysterious object.

Once the dust had settled, Troyer discovers the macabre reality of what he had hit: the bodies of Don Henry and Kevin Ives.

An initial investigation into the strange deaths rule the deaths an accident caused by the two smoking too much marijuana. This conclusion outrages those close to the boys and an multi-decade investigation unravels that goes deeper than anyone would have expected…

Season 1 Episode 27: Polybius

In the dimly lit arcade halls of Portland, Oregon, stacks of arcade cabinets lined the walls and the sounds of children laughing and 8-bit explosions filled the air. All sorts of exciting new video games came and went, providing the children who played them an escape from their daily lives. One day, a new cabinet was added to the multitude of gaming options: an all black box with distinct green lettering that read “Polybius”.

This new addition to the ranks of arcade adventures almost instantly became a hit and soon drew crowds of children eagerly waiting for their turn to try and best the new title. Strangely, just as fast as it’s rise to stardom, Polybius was quickly and unexpectedly removed from every location.

Was Polybius just a one-off gaming experiment? Arcade folklore? Or was it something more sinister?

After Polybius had come and gone disturbing reports began to appear. Claims of mind control, mysterious men-in-black retrieving data from the machines, and illness cropped up across the arcades. Many children who played this game became terribly ill, symptoms ranging from headaches and visions, to nightmares and seizures, and on the rare occasions…
